does this sound fair? ethical? a man drives under the influce of meth amphetamines causes an accident, killing 3 people, severely injuring 2, bonds out, 2 days later, arrested for driving under the influence of meth amphetamines, possession and paraphernalia, gets 15 total for all charges. for the same if driving under the influence of alcohol would have carried a steeper sentence, does this makes any sense? i know i am close to the case, so i may be being close-minded.

My brother was 14 years old and killed by a drunk driver and never spent a night in jail for it, when I got older I had a long talk with the guy and I still hate that nothing was ever done nothing. But none of it will ever bring my brother back, so

IMO, impaired driving while under the influence of any intoxicating substance should be dealt with more severely, and if a death or serious injury occurs, the person should receive life without the possibility of parole.
