Not quite. At the time Collins was not what the team needed to push forward. His father died and he was in a bad emotional state so he just thought he needed to do something else - this was his way of grieving. He did not gamble on basketball but it is a habit that he could afford. He and Isiah got pass their differences and now it is Isiah in the limelight in the worse way. But the key difference is the Jordan strived to make his team mates better while Kobe always puts them down and is not good for any team chemistry at this point.
