Yes, I heard about it. That's ridiculous. That's not what Ho Ho Ho means. People need to seriously lighten up. Kids who are young enough to believe in Santa Claus do not even know about women being called Ho's or what the term means. We're taking kids' childhoods away too much as it is. This is just ridiculous. Sometimes, I believe that the feminist movement has gone too far.

If santa saying ho ho ho offends women does it offend them also when gardener's use a hoe? This is ridiculous. I heard several years back about a guy trying to get the word hello changed to 'heaveno' since it had the world hell in it. I wanted to say to him, what about helicopter, helmet, etc? Those are pronounced with the hell sound. What should ho ho ho be offensive? Yes I've heard it used offensivley as a punch line in a joke before but the true meaning of ho ho ho does not change because of one joke...

Yet another example of Political Correctness abuse. Santa was around before the 'ho' term became an issue. Maybe we should ban the term 'ho' from music and the media so it doesn't offend...not ban it from Santa's CENTURIES OLD vocabulary! SO STUPID! This is one of those things where the powers that be...should tell those women to shut the hell up and learn a coping skill!
Things like this only give more power to the ones who have made the term 'ho' derogatory, not to mention that kids only have SO many years of childhood. Just let them be excited about things like Santa Claus without perverting it into something it isn't! 'Ho' as a derogatory term, is an ADULT issue and it makes me really angry when some bored, attention starved idiot tries to gain attention at the expense of children (SpongeBob is gay? Dumbledore is gay? Oh, GIVE ME A BREAK!) !
Personally, I think if they hear Santa saying 'ho, ho, ho' and think ''prostitute"...THEY are the ones with the freakin' issues!

I grew up believing in Santa Claus and hearing the Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas! on television. I don't find it offensive in the slightest. I swear. People will find the weirdest things to go and protest. It's pathetic.

I would like to point out that what Santa says is the verbal expression of his laugh and if there are women that protest that I'm sorry they are so sensitive .............. what would they have Santa do, sit there like a mime? Really now, get a life. The local news carried the story last evening, it was in Australia and the Santa's there must now say Ha, Ha, Haaaa, what 's next? Should we change the name spade when referring to a shovel because of it's slang terminology as well? And how many other examples are there, good heavens ...........................

How is it offensive, I know 'ho' but, come on. That 'Santa Saying' has gone on longing than the insult. If they find it offensive, they can become Jews.

I've never heard of anything so stupid. Somebody obviously has too much time on their hands.
I have never known anyone to even make that connection, much less be lame-brained enough to take offense.

the fear is that in American slang, "ho" can be heard as a derogatory word for a woman. I think it is stupid but, what do I know...
