It's a little hard here in San Diego with the weather being in the 70's to think of what winter comfort food is really about. But there is probably a time when hot cocoa with whip cream is going to be perfect!

A hot cup of cinnamon apple tea helps me get thru the winter cold and ice.All the best.

Gotta be chili. I almost made a big crock full last week. But then I got distracted and accidentally put green beans and peas in and was committed to making it plain old soup instead. *doh*

I started already with my winter comfort soups: chili, oyster soup, chicken soup with rice and creamy tomato soup. The receipes are easy, freeze well for leftovers and are so delicious.
