Ok, it's not Thanksgiving and I have seen three houses so far with outdoor Christmas decorations.
Actually they have been up for two weeks now.
Aren't we rushing it just a wee bit??

My neighbor!!!! BAH HUMBUG! Don't get me wrong, I decorate too, I LOVE Christmas but she already has the huge blow-up snow globe, lights galore, candy canes up the driveway and sidewalk!! Can we get through Thanksgiving first?? Isn't that the unwritten rule?

I don't have Christmas decorations up just yet. My family has this rule. The day after Thanksgiving is way too early and you can start decorating when it's December first. I have seen one or two houses with Christmas lights up already but not many. I know that I will see more when December approaches.

I don't have family to spend Thanksgiving with and I sometimes work anyway, so I satisfy my Christmas tooth as I want. However, because I'm in school I'm making myself wait until the day after Thanksgiving this year. I've only put up one, ok two decorations. Usually the decorations go up in early October. I don't celebrate Halloween so it doesn't matter. I have, however, finished my shopping as of early last month.

LOL Well - retail stores are starting earlier and earlier every year....

We went out and bought our decorations last weekend but my hubby's making me wait until after Thanksgiving to put them up - if not I'd have them on every night for the next 6 weeks!! Time goes too fast, we might as well enjoy it!

I don't. I've seen a few houses around here as well. While I was growing up, we didn't decorate until Christmas Eve. I still don't decorate until the 22nd or 23rd.

I say the earlier the better - who wants to do all that work, just to have it up for a couple of weeks?
