Only if it keeps you from eating, sleeping and exercising well. It could raise your blood pressure, which is not good. Even if you don't feel like it, take care of your body so it can nourish baby's little soul.

Yes stress can harm your baby in many ways. 1. you can have a miscarrage, 2. you can hinder fetal development, 3. your child can develop an anxiety disorder, 4 you can go into pre-term labour.
Stress also effects your newborn child. You will notice that when you are stressed out, your baby may be more fussy, cry more, or even show signs of depression.
Hope these articles can help answer your questions. :) I also included one about coping with stress during pregnancy.

no. I had 2 stressful pregnancies. And we are not talking normal stress. We are talking abonded, no upcoming maternity, no job, no one would hire a pregnant lady, so depressed and moody during pregnancy that I was put on mediacation, had toxemia, gained 80 lbs, had my baby threated to be taken away from me, my family thought I was a no good sinner because I was not married to him before he left, my once almost picture perfect life crashed around me and I moved in with my mom and sold my old pick up to buy baby things at garage sales, had no upcoming child support, etc. My baby was fine. Colicy buy very healthy and big for being induced 2 weeks early.
Next pregnancy, once again, he up and left! Was so moody and this time I refused medication and had to take care of my other child. I had to quit work due to dizzy spells, and I slept all day and was depressed and suicial and had rage attacks (all hormones, this is not my usual me at all). I was so upset I kicked my dog around, I cried alot and had severe social anxiety and could hardly leave the house. Grocery shopping left me shaking in exhaustion on the couch. My daughter got herself ready for school and I got up to drive her to school and went back to bed. I taught my daugther to make some simple snacky meals without the stove and I gained 65 lbs all the while I was single, and my family was really rude to me and made me more upset and cry more. It was awful. I had a big baby boy 1 week late. He is a content and happy baby
I am now happy me. A full time student, happy, moved to a bigger house and cook supper every night, lol. Play with my kids around my studying and play with that poor dog! lol... Oh, and my midwife told me that maybe I should not get pregnant again.... My hormones just can't take it!!
So no, I had one colicy baby, one content baby. Both are big and healthy!

Let's face it...we all have stress in our lives, you can't escape it. What you can do is learn to deal with it. Whether it is financial, emotional, work related or just anxiety about your pregnancy you need to find your utopia...your "special place" haha Find something you enjoy doing, my escapes while pregnant were reading pregnancy books, listening to loud music and feeling my baby move around, America's Funniest Videos made me laugh even when I thought my world was crashing!!! Good Luck and find your escape...it helps!

It could cause a miss carriage if you're stressing excessively. My Dr. told me that it could cause my baby to be very anxious once she was born. I stressed more with my second baby and she is a lot more needy than my first. I don't know if my stressing was exactly the cause though.

It can possibly lead to a miscarriage. If it is major stress. Let your doc know at your next appointment, and just know when your body is doing something "un-natural". Just try to relax though and take time for your self to just sit down and put your feet up. It's important for you and your little one.
