The strip resorts go all out in decorating. Especially Bellagio- incredible atrium decor.

Vegas for Christmas is actually quite affordable. It's a slow time and rooms are pretty cheap.
The weather is really nice (70's & 80's) and the Strip is the Strip, so there's still lots to do. Most of the shows run and the restaurants are open. Really, Vegas doesn't do much different for Christmas.
The people who are there tend to be either young or Asian. I'm of Asian ancestry and it felt like I had gone back the mother ship or something - especially at the Venetian!

I think that Christmas isn't too widely celebrated in Sin City... some hotels with have a Christmas Tree in the lobby, the Bellagio has a nice display in their conservatory and off strip Ethel M's cactus light garden is beautiful.
Otherwise, what everyone else said- chilly, good shipping, cheap, a little less busy (aka not super long lines)... granted all this goes away as soon as Dec 29th as people start piling in for NYE.

I enjoyed my visit there last Christmas but some of the shows are limited due to the Holiday. Plan now what you want to see and buy your tickets..... waiting until the last minute isn't a good idea.
