Am I right?

1) Is (x+2) a factor of 2x^3 + 7x^2 +5x - 2?

FOR THIS ONE I GOT: Yes
---------------------------------------------------
2) The height of a flare is described by f(x) = -16t^2 + 320t + 50 (t= seconds). How long will it take to flare to reach its highest point and what is the highest point?

FOR THIS ONE I GOT: For this one I got time is 10 and height is 150.

Matching: (a) f(x) = x^2 + 2
(b) f(x) = ½(x+2)^2– 2
(c) f(x) = -(x-2) + 2
(d) f(x) = 2(x+2)^2 + 2

3) only function with a maximum point

FOR THIS ONE I GOT: (c)

4) narrowest graph

FOR THIS ONE I GOT: (d)

1) You are correct

2) Half correct. Put 10 in for t in the equation
f(t) = -16t^2 + 320t + 50 and you get
f(10)=1650

3) None have a maximum height. However if c was suppose to be f(x) = -(x^2) + 2 then c is correct.

4) D is correct.
