At work. I work in the Mariposa grove of giant Sequoias at Yosemite natl. park in central Cal. It's like I died and went to Heaven.

I learned to walk here, on the very beach, i might as well have been born there.
It is a pretty popular vacation spot, in fact it was the number 1 family beach in america, but it still doesn't exactly show up too good on the map. I may be in the southeast, but it is still wonderful to me. I never get tired of it. We go there around my birthday every year which makes it more special. The sand isn't white, but it's still comfortable to me. The Atlantic Ocean sits on the horizon. When I was little I'd look across the ocean and think that I saw africa when I saw the little boats far in the distance.
There's plenty to do there, I've never gotten bored of this place.
When I was in English class last year, I wrote this journal about if I had only one day to live, what would I do, and at the end I wrote that I would go to this beach and in the last few seconds of my life I'd be thinking this is where I took my first steps, and this is where I'll take my last.
they all said that was depressing.
oh well anyway this place is Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

sorry about the long answer :( i just really liked this question
Ohhh yeah, I lurrrve fig trees!!! :) SOOOO beautiful!! That sounds really awesome, but i bet you can't fully understand the beauty until you are there. And the smell of forests :) absolutely to die for. Everytime I drive near forests, you have to wind the windows right down, stick your head out and breathe in as much as you can. Not to mention turn the radio off so you can hear all the wild life.
My favourite place on earth to be is with my dog...... I have a boyfriend and a great family and a cat (that i sometimes think i like more than my dog) but for some reason my dog makes everything better. She's is SUCH a clown....so funny to watch.
I guess she makes me feel loved, and being in the park with trees, birds singing sun shining with someone that adores me is a great thing (which is why it's better when my boyfriend comes with us) two "people" that adore me!! :)
At the park we go to there's a big drop and the creek runs through the middle, so there's a fence up. My bf walked over the other side of the fence (near the water) and I walked on the other. My dog followed my bf... I started walking away from the fence into the trees, my dog started panicking and trying to get me, running up and down the fence. She found a hole and came sprinting towards me. She loves EVERYONE and is so happy to see anyone and acts like she's known them for years. This often makes people feel special, my brother thinks that she likes him the most because whenever he comes over she jumps around like an idiot. But she does that with anyone who will give her some love.
She's good at making people feel loved - which is strange because I guess that's what she lacked in her life - seeing as i found her at a refuge. It's great to go home and have her be so happy that you are there with her.
I found her at a refuge and I guess i feel priviliged that she's learnt to trust me.
So i guess my favourite places are who i'm with.

I took a three day class trip to the Chesapeake Bay and it was so beautiful and calming. We were in a nature center away from anyone else and you couldn't hear any cars. The only thing you could hear was the tide and the birds and insects. The sunset every night was spectacular. I loved standing on the porch and watching it every night.
And the weather was perfect. There was a light rain one day and that even seemed more beautiful than usual!
I would love to go back. Now look what you did, I'm tearing up...

Topsail Island North Carlina....Sitting on the beach on a hot July day. The smell of the salt air in the wind. The call of the gulls. The warmth of the sun warming me. The cool ocean breeze making it comfortable to sit there. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore. A good book in my hands and a cold drink waiting in the cooler next to my chair....thats my spot!!!

to many places
queensland ozzie, singapore, bavaria, queestown NZ, paris, rome, and of course my village in greece.......and athena (athens) cant be beat its so incredible, a modern building next to a 3000 year old structure, all the old ruins, theres something about going to the acropolis that is just breath taking...........built 2500 years ago while most of the world ran around in grass skirts the greeks were constructing wonders of the world.......
so anywhere with great natural beauty or a wonderful climate (klima - from greek) or historic value does it for me
my favourite place is this one

Mine has always been our family cabin in the mountains of Colorado. It was always so silent you could hear life all around you - so surreal! The smell after the a gentle rain washed everything clean. A wonderful place to simply relax and let daily troubles fade away. My dream is to be able to retire there and write in solitude!

Javea, Spain where i grew up, it has many beautiful beaches soft sand and deep blue sea, the people are warm and very friendly, the rules don't apply but still the crime is low and people are nice to each other, the traditions are greatly valued and celebrated in costumes, fireworks with families and friends eating dinner in the streets. i cant wait to go home for the holidays!

My grandmother lives right on a curve on the Trinity river. I love to sit there and watch the occasional fish jump and time flow by. Sometimes I'll get lucky and see an Eagle.
