I am no fan of the Jerry Springer show, but whenever I do pass the show when changing the channels, I always see people fighting with each other.

Do you believe the show The Jerry Springer Show promotes violence? Why or why not?

Yes, this show promotes violence, and the producers make sure there is always a fight!! There was a show on VH-1 (can't remember the name of it) that followed the producers of The Jerry Springer show. They pitched ideas and the one with the most outrageous guests got their show on. Backstage, the producers were egging the guests on telling them to scream at the other person and fight back! The show is really scrapes the bottom of the barrel!

I used to love Jerry Springer back in 1997, 1998 where everything (the fights, stories) were real, but nowadays the Springer show is 100% fake, so the people who come on are intentionally dumb trailer trash. As for the Maury show, that's how a lot of the "ghetto" people in the area (New York) are. Its really sad but that is how a lot of those ghetto people really are. Clueless, uneducated, and doesn't think about anything (same goes with the 4 x 4 whites on that show). I don't think either show is stereotyping, both show the truth of how most people in ghettos and trailer park/low end areas really are. A lot of them really have no class or respect.

The Jerry Springer show is like a circus. The people that are on that show are low life trash who don't respect each other, much less themselves, I always wonder how that show stayed on so long.

I dont know if promote is the right word. How about encourage or at the very least, not discourage violence?
The people that go on national tv to air their dirty linen are encouraged to create chaos. They should be getting paid for it, but their one minute of fame is all they want.

All of the violence that you see on The Jerry Springer Show is like watching The Three Stooges on TV.The episodes of The Three Stooges were all violent.Moe dragging a saw across Curly s head, and the hitting, shoving, pulling hair, kicking in the shins, poking each other in the eyes, etc.
if you watched the stooges on Tv,and you,or anyone else did that out in public, you, and others could get arrested, hurt, killed, etc.
That is why all of the hitting they have on these shows is all violent.Violence kills more people, and we should not have it anymore.Thanks.
