Mine is such a peaceful scene. It has a forest with a creek or brook running through, with mist interwined within the trees and shrubs. It seems like its autumn. I love looking at that picture. My nephew gave it to us as a present.

It's not a painting, it's a snapshot, of a beach, at sunset, with the big black rocks and the waves crashing in on the rocks. It was taken by a special friend years ago, when he went on a trip. He told me he was thinking of me and took the photo just for me. He had the photo enlarged and framed, and gave it to me. I had no clue how he felt about me at the time. I will keep it always.
It was one of those romances that was never to be.....

Yes I do. It's a huge painting of Paris in the evening. People are going to a party and the gas lights are burning along the cobble stoned road. The light emits a yellow glow from the windows and doors of a large mansion or fancy hotel. The doors are tall glass archways. People are out side sitting on little ice cream tables and chairs. There are a few horse and buggys. The women are wearing long gowns. I feel like I can step right into it. The frame is massive but not too ornate to take the attention away from the painting.

Yes I have one that I copied from an artist that is still living. I was in an art class and loved this painting but the prints alone were $1300.00!! So I knew that I could never afford it so I painted as a Study of the Artist. It can never be sold till his death but it is very surreal like landscape, with hills after hills and a deep blue sky and clouds, and a few trees, a lot of fall colors in it, but also colors in places you would not see in real life. It is very peaceful and I have it in my living room. If I don't make another one before I die, my two kids are going to fight over it!! lol!!

I have an ocean painting done by my mom did back in the 60's. She did it and it was stolen at a party I threw while my parents were in Hawaii. So she painted it again. There are no rocks, no shoreline. Just one big translucent wave and a cloudy sky. The whole picture is in shades of blue, except for the foam. I love that picture. It brings me love and takes me back to another time in my life. It looks great over our fireplace. It remindds me of a time my was a great painter. Now, she can't even hold a fork.

We have so many painting/prints that I love---I've never counted but I'm guessing we have over 50 hanging in the house and another 25 in the basement. My favorite is probably a Paul Collins print of Holy Eagle. My mother was an artist and so am I but my favorite works of art are all from the western artists, past and present.

I do indeed have a beautiful painting in my home. It's in my living room, hanging above my sofa. I love to stare at this painting & feel as though I'm inside the painting as well. It's a painting of an A frame log home that is nestled in a grove of trees sitting on the edge of a small lake. The reflection of the log cabin the lake is awesome. The deer are at the water's edge & it's a site to behold. As I stare at the painting, I feel as though I'm in the log home, spending an evening with the family inside. It relaxes me & I am at peace when I look at it. People who visit me, comment about the painting as well.

My grannie use to be a great artist, before she got arthritis really bad. She use to oil paint images, and they were all really good. I was really young at the time, and my grannie decided she hated every painting in her house she did, and started burning them in the backyard. I saw her doing it, and I begged her for one of them. My favorite one was the one I saved, and the last in the pile (fate?). Its a red barn (older looking) in a field, on the left side of it, It has a water wheel still rotating, and a stream leading to the bottom right corner and over that is a old bridge. It also has a couple of trees, and a multicolored sky. I guess it more sentimental value than anything. But I love that picture

I collect art, and I have a painting by a famous artist that was bought for me by a very dear friend who went to live abroad. I haven't seen him for years but we keep in contact and he is the funniest person I know. Every time I look at the painting I remember something he said or did, and I have to laugh. I have the painting in a prominent position so I see it as soon as I get up, so I start my day with a smile.

About a 20 x 30 alpine chateau done by a local Garmish Germany artist. Really serene Schwabish Alps scene.

I have a Thai Rubbing over my TV in the living room that I dearly love and a colorful painting of wildflowers over the PC in the sunroom. My most fav is a yet unframed pic I took years ago in the Caribbean on the beach of a sunset which was smack dab in the middle of two low hanging storm clouds...simply beautiful!
