They hate Britney because she's a horrible mother, and Paris because she's just using her family's name to become famous (not talent)

Because Britney Spears is a horrible Role model. Paris Hilton is famous for being rich and having a sex tape. Not exactly things I like in a person.

Well most people hate Britney Spears for what she represents. Sex, money, and popularity. She also came on the scene when boy bands were popular. So this whole "fake" and "manafactured" feel to music came about. Also the choices she has made recently haven't gained her any favors. Her competitors, like Christiana Agulera (pardon the sp) have done better than her in most respects as well. I personally liked Britney Spears singles when she first came out. Now I can't stand her music with the exception of Toxic. I see her as a kind of pity case. Too much fame too fast. I don't hate her as much as I pity her and her career. Her career defined her and now its slowly tearing her apart. But overall you have to admire the fact that she has proven herself as a more than a celeberty, she's human.
As for Paris Hilton I can say for sure that I cannot stand her. She is spoiled, rude, and the most irresponsible woman in our tabloids. She offends the scum on the bottom of my shoe. And what's worse is that people love her anyway. In a world where girls are taught to be sexy by age 8 and we sell them toys that incourage spoiled behavior "Bratz" I don't see what contribution she gives to any part of society.
But then again thats just my opinion.

Hate is a harsh word. I dont particularly like Paris Hilton because her only claim to fame is her family's wealth. Britney has been acting the fool but there's no reason for anyone to hate her.

I dont hate Britney. i actually encourage her to get help. paris on the other hand-- she can go to hell for all i care. she desirves to be pushed off a cliff into a pitt of fire. Simply because NOBODY cares about her dumb life. Ok, we get it she's rich without doing $hit... you don't need to rub it in everyone's face!

They do nothing constructive and are bad role models getting into all sorts of trouble. Yet for some reason they are famous.
People hate them because they are rich and famous for no reason.
(Although...to be fair - Britney used to be somewhat constructive, depending on your views of pop music)

I don't hate either one but I'm so sick of hearing about them. They are both horrible role models & need to get their heads on straight & grow up, especially Britney. She needs to get a driver's license too & should try being a real mother to her sons.

they don't do anything for one.. and is constantly in the limelight for little stupid things that people don't care about, one of them can't take care of her own kids and the other one apparently isn't taking care of herself
