The Egyptian pyramids were built by Egyptians, there were actually very few slaves used in the construction and there is no archaeological evidence to suggest that any of these were Israelites.
In fact at that time there would have been very few Israelites in Egypt other than a few traders and merchants.
Slavery in ancient Egypt was mostly confined to prisoners of war and household slaves were thought of as being to precious and unsuitable for hard manual work..
Remember that the building of the Giza pyramids took place around c2500BCE over a thousand years before the Biblical account of the Exodus, which is thought to have occurred in the rule of Pharaoh Merenptah c.1212-1201.
The workers village at the Giza complex under the archaeological direction of Mark Lehner, has brought forth a wealth of knowledge on those who were responsible for their construction.
At any given time there would have been around 3,000 people who were in some way connected directly or indirectly with their construction.
These included master masons and labourers ,the surveyors and architects, tool makers and menders, artisans and craftsmen of all kinds. In addition there were the day to day food supplies and cooked meals. With ready and ample supplies of beer, needed for the hundreds of temporary workers who came from the different rural nomes, especially in the time of the inundation when they could not work their land.
They also had doctors ,dentists ,sandal makers all the professions and trades you would expect to find in a well organised "company town". The so called worker's village at Giza may well be the first example of a company town in history. There were teachers for the children of the workers, priests to care for their godly needs and cemeteries for their own eternal rest. It is thought that many may have lived at this site throughout their whole lives from the cradle to the grave.
The time estimated to build one of these monolithic structures is estimated at around 30 years .
There was not only the pyramid itself to build but each of the pyramids had its own set of temples and other auxiliary buildings that were surrounded by a retaining wall making it a separate precinct and this was connected to the Nile river by a causeway.
Some of the temples and parts of the causeways remain in situ, while others like the smallest of the three Giza pyramids have been partly or totally recycled to be used in the building of the cities of Cairo and Alexandria.
