The roots of our current evolution into the whiney complaining lot that we are can be traced back to the period beginning with Roosevelt's New Deal. It then extends into Johnson's Great Society and finally came to full blossom in the nineties which I just don't have a name for. Basically for the last 60+ years and continuing on through today, we have fostored and carefully grown the entitlement mentality in this country. When you constantly tell people that they are not responsible for their actions, or that they are unable to achieve in life without the assisstance of government this will always be the end result. The only path to a balanced, productive and happy life is hard work, responsibility and self reliance.
