This is the problem:

http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/8365/665ae6.png

After doing everything, my result was:

x^2 - x - 6
And factored:
(x - 3)(x + 2)
x = 3, x = - 2

It says my answer is wrong, however. What was my mistake?

Hi,
What you've done is correct, but it looks as if you have given your answer in the wrong form. The problem says this: ""then use the results to factor the polynomial into these factors"
(x+A)(x+B)(x+C
That's this:
(x+1)(x-3)(x+2)
Then it says:
Give the list of values A,B,C you obtain. That's this:
1,-3, 2

Read the problem carefully and I think you'll see what's needed.

Hope this helps.
