I have had a new ac pump installed because I though the old one was bad. But the noise didn't go away. I have replaced the power steering pump and idler tension pulley. Sometimes I hear the noise when I back the car up. If I take off the drive belt the noise goes away. This is the third pump not counting the old one. Could the condenser be bad also. I have had this noise for over a year but nothing bad has happened. The car runs great except for the noise. The noise does seem to go away if I rev the enging up some.

It feels like the PSU (capability grant Unit) fan is making the noise whether it would desire to be the CPU fan, the two way banging on the casing isn't a robust theory. if that's the PSU fan then there's a fuse in the PSU and whilst heated up (because it fairly is once you capability on your laptop) the fuse is in all probability to interrupt once you bang the laptop case to end the noise. it fairly is ordinary to paintings out which fan is making the noise, with the laptop working eliminate the part panel, using the centre of the fan push your finger on the circle in the midsection (so averting the fan blades) and end the CPU fan, if the noise stops you recognize which fan is the priority, if it would not you nevertheless have an answer. do no longer end the fan for a variety of seconds or you threat unfavorable the CPU itself. you are able to locate cleansing the PSU or CPU fan with compressed air would resolve your concern yet often procuring a sparkling fan or PSU unit is actual greater low fee than the can of compressed air in the 1st place.

This is just a guess and it's only because I have this problem with an air conditioner at home. Maybe when the fan is running, it is brushing against something. That would cause a noise whenever you use the air conditioner.

Have you inspected the belt itself, belts will cause a lot of unusual noises. I've heard noises from V-belts and serpentine belts. And I have heard noises cease with higher RPM's. I have never found a belt dressing that worked, not saying they're not out there, just that I've never found one.
