Why do people automatically think people in band are geeks? I'm in the band (marching band is hardcore ;-) ) but me and a bunch of other people play sports and we are pretty cool if i do say so my self lol. but why to people consider us geeks? sure some people maybe liek band a little too much, but you get geeks in every group of kids so why pick on the band kids?

because of the uniforms... and because usually "band people" don't really do much except band stuff... even if you are a geek... does it matter? you sound like you have a cool group of friends that enjoy your company and you enjoy theirs... in the end that is all that matters... that you find people that accept you for who you are and love you and are there for you even if you all use glasses and play war of warcraft all day...
the joke is on them... the cool people are the ones asking where does wolverine comes from after watching the movie!!!
but we geeks... we know already!!!

Yeah. She turned right into a cutie. All 5'a million'' of her. and she wore those glasses that made her eyes look extremely better, and at the same time as she laughed, it changed into extra like a squeal. She changed into geeky yet did not even understand it.

A geek (aka nerd, intellectual, etc) is given such a label as an attempt to rudely compliment their intellectual and sometimes moral superiority over most other groups.

Probably because they are supper smart. I love my band friends. Its so lonley at school and not as much fun when they arn't around. Band kids rule!

I was in HS band (and Colorguard) and I am the coolest chick on the planet. I am also a big damn geek. They are not mutually exclusive.
No biggie posting here, us gay folks are human too.....

i sometimes make fun of my friend who is in band just because she spends so much time there and everytime i call her to hang out she has some band thing...so i jokingly make fun of her
