I heard that this movie was based off the novel called "The Bride" is it true? If so, who's the author of the book?

The movie is based on an original screen play entitiled "The Bride" by Quentin Tarantino. He changed the name in production to sell more tickets....

Quentin Tarantino said he wrote it to show his love for 70's Kung Fu flicks.

It isn't based on any book.
