I have 4 VIP tickets to a Kings Game this Saturday 11/17

I got them free from one of my vendors. I can't go.

I think the tickets have not for resale on them. I don't have them yet. They are being delivered tomorrow.

Is it against the law to sell them?

Um TB since when is scalping legal in Florida? It's not. They have stipulation now due to the advent of Ebay and such, that you can resell tickets ,but not for more than face value. But if you are outside the arena selling them and the cops feel like you go to jail for a few hours and miss the game. As for the asker. Just give the tickets to friends you really like and tell them they can buy you, dinner or beer in return.

You will need to check your local laws regarding selling them but I have one piece of advice. Be careful who you sell or even give them to. If the people you sell the tickets do something stupid enough, the actual owners of the tickets could lose their seats. That is a sure fire way to ensure that the people who gave you the tickets to know you made a buck off of them.

I think the law is that you may not sell tickets for more than you paid for them. However, it probably varies from one locality to another, so you might look it up in the code of your state or county or city. In any case, since you're getting these free, any price you might get would be more than you paid, so why not just give them to friends? You won't be losing anything!

I think you can sell them, you just can't get over face value for them. Try Craigslist if you want to sell them. OR go around it and say "you get this amazing sale ad from Walmart to get all of the good deals and you get 4 tickets to the .........game as a free gift from me! I only want "$ . " for this spectacular Walmart ad (or anything else you have laying around that you don't mind getting rid of) That's what ppl on EBay do all the time! It's kind of crazy. Hope that helps.

It's not illegal to sell them for the same price or lower than you bought them for. But, you got them for free. Dude, just sell them. Whoever catches you can't prove that you got them for free so just keep your mouth shut on that. Also, don't sell them outside the arena; that's just stupid. Ask around your friends if they want them for a discounted price.

ALSO, scalping should be a municipal offense in LA (don't quote me on that though, but it is for most municipalities in Canada). Even in the off chance that you do get caught, it's just a hundred dollar fine or something like that. It's not the end of your life so it's not that big of a deal.

I don't know if it's against the law but just to be on the safe side, I wouldn't sell the tickets if I were you.

Yes, it is illegal, technically. They say "not for resale" for a reason. BUT... if you sell them for less than it would cost to see the game if they were for sale, no one is going to bust you for it. They mostly only go after scalpers that jack the prices up. If you sell them for less than list price, you're doing someone a favor.

Absolutely - what's your point?

Selling VIP tickets doesn't really carry that much risk.

But if you're a straight arrow, give them to someone you like.
