I'm just trying to get a handle on how fast computing power has advanced from 20 years ago (1 generation).

How many modern PCs would it take to = the performance of a supercomputer from 1987? Maybe it's how many old supercomputers = a modern PC?

LOL 1 home computer built today would have more processing power than any supercomputer from 1987. It would take about 10 supercomputers from then to equal the processing power of 1 home computer.
