How can I improve my comprehension of chords?

I am good at identifying keys and picking out individual melodies and but chords really challenge me.

Practice, time and experience is about the only way you will slowly get better and better as long as you keep trying and learning.

No matter how hard you practice, you wouldn't be able get chords unless you learn how they sound like. So aside from what everybody will say (that is to practice), keep on listening to music. Once you get a good understanding on the music you listen too, you will find it easy to get chords...
