drop hints to your man for Christmas gifts you'd really like?

I'd really love this necklace from Kay's thats is on a MAJOR sale this weekend only.($30 for a normally $100 item).

We got a flyer in the mail and I look at it all the time with him around and comment on how pretty it is and how I'd love that. I don't think he's taking the hint.....

how would all you ladies do it?

BTW...this is out first Christmas marrried, and we are expecting our first child in June. I am not a material person, but I believe every woman deserves a few good pieces of jewelry.

RRK- I am not self centered and don't think I am at all entitled. Seriously. I just have a belief that every woman, no matter who she is, should have one nice piece of jewelry. I even picked out my own weding ring....guess what? It's even way under a karat. So self centered is not something to descibe me.

It is a lab created White Sapphire Necklace (journey style) in 10K white gold. So yes, nice jewelry....

You cannot drop hints. Men do not get hints. They do not listen most of the time. Unless you say something rude.

Cut out the ad and attach a note "I WOULD LOVE THIS FOR CHRISTMAS" and give it to him. He will be glad to know exactly what you want and save money.

I don't even bother any more. He never listens anyway. He gets me what he wants. Last year I got a pie pan to make him Quiche. The year before that I got a roasting pan to make hams and turkeys. The year before that I got new bed sheets (and he bought the wrong size).

I've tried being direct. I've circled things in catalogs, filled out the order forms, and left a note that said, "If you were wondering what I want for Christmas send this in." I've picked up items off the shelf when we were shopping and said, "Do you see this, I want you to buy me this for Christmas." Nope. Nada. Nothing.

I just say thank you on Christmas morning to whatever he got me and that is the end of the story.

I do it very simply: point at an item and say - put it on your Christmas list. "Dropping hints" doesn't work - just tell him; what's the big deal? Make a list of several items, and he can pick and choose; that's what everyone in my husband's family does, so we all exchange lists before the holidays. My dear FIL even puts catalog item numbers on his list to make it easy for us. :) Congrats on your marriage and your baby.

Just tell him...I like this necklace and it's on sale. Yes that is a hint for Christmas. Guys are thickheaded. They don't get subtlety.

Congrats on the baby.

Well, you can be subtle about it. Or just come out and say that is what you'd really like.

I drop hints, write it down on little notes in his lunch, make out a list with the kids, and yet I still get nothing I ever have asked for. Men are hopeless in the gift giving department.

You might just buy it for yourself and wrap it up for Christmas.

Dropping hints doesn't work. You have to be more direct. Men don't communicate through hinting, and they don't understand hinting.

You might try using a website such as Kaboodle. It's a really swell way to share wish lists with other people, and it might make it easy to Christmas shop for him, too!

Hint it through his friend or family member without having them give you away. Trust me, every man wants to give his true love a nice piece of real jewelry with a nice discount price.
