here were are few of my daughters favorite toys she got on her first birthday (from target). She played with them all year and she is two now and still loves them both. Very affordable too:)

Since you already got her some toys, get her something sentimental, like a child's silver charm bracelet- you could get her a birthday cake charm for the first one and each year you could add one according to what she does or likes that year. Then when she is 16 or 18, you can give it to her and it will be a nice memory chain of her childhood. Good luck! Happy Birthday to her!

My daughter's first birthday is next Wednesday. We're getting her her first pair of shoes and Weebles. I have no doubt she'll get hours of pleasure from the box the Weebles come in (and eventually get around to playing with the Weebles). For Christmas we are getting her the Fisher Price Bounce and Spin Zebra, that would also make a good first birthday present.

I seen on the news the other night that studies show that children that play with blocks are usually smarter. You could get her some baby blocks and that can also be something you can do with her! Also the baby Einstein movies are great! Good Luck!

She is not going to remember this. So, get her a small cake covered with chocolate frosting, or a bowl of chocolate pudding. Get a camcorder out and let her eat the cake or pudding. Of course she will get it all over herself, and you'll have it all on tape.

One of the things I got my son who was 1 back in Sept, was mega blocks. They are good for stimulating their developing minds plus he just loves them as we can all play with them together.
