a hero is a hero no matter what language they speak.. no matter what their skin color is... no matter male or female ... someone that risks everything for someone or something ... no matter how big or small ... that is a hero no matter what !~

Someone who risks his/her health, life, or safety to help others.
i mean no insult to ANYONE, but i am disturbed how, over the last several years, HERO is used so much to mean "a survivor." i admire survivors, but i don't think that defines a hero.
right now, i don't have any heroes , foreign or domestic.
