Hands down the 2002 Red Wings, I mean take one look at the Roster more hall of fame players will come from that team than ever before in history, think about it they were put together for one reason WIN the Stanley Cup no individual awards or accolations, simply WIN. An to add to that they had one of the best leaders ever in hockey Steve Yzerman.

What's better? Blue or circle? Up or right? 1 or A? These questions are about the same thing as yours. Ultimately, it is impossible to say and it completely a matter of opinion. Different time. Different place. Different era. Different game. So, honestly, who cares?

That said, I just read the answer above me, and it's pretty funny. The 2002 Wings team had a lot of Hall of Famers!? Sure, but the Blackhawks' 1961 team had Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Glenn Hall, Pierre Pilote... and all of them in their prime. Doesn't get much better than that. Still, it's apples and toothpaste. There's no real comparison to be made.
