I just got done reading Alas Babylon by Pat Frank.
But I can't remember what ICBM is. And also NORAD.
Both of these terms are in the book. But I can't remember what they mean. If anyone knows please please reply.
Thanks!!!

ICBM was for missle silos (intercontinental balistic missles) and NORAD was the government body watching the radar for attacks by missle from Russia. North American Radar Defense or something like that, it was really big during the cold war.

Alas Babylon was written in the 1960's so a lot is outdated, but I'm surprised how much of the book is still holding up.
