Why is it so hard to let go in life? To go with the flow, and not always be in control?

It is so hard to let go because we cannot believe that there will be anything better to come if we let go.

Attachment also arises because of certain hate, rage and fear that dwells within us. Our hate, rage and fear blind us to other possibilities in life.
