I was in a car accident 1 year ago...and i had to have 1 dental implant put in...well the first time i had it done it failed...and i had to have it redone and there is a healing time of 6 months...well it healed and it didnt fail again..the only thing is when i go to get it touched up or the color redone or size any adjusting since its not fully done yet...he tugs it off basically so hard that my head jerks...and its like really scary since it failed once and i had to go through the process all over again....is it normal for them to have to pull this hard?...or is there a way he could be more gentle like wiggle it off?????...

I have numerous crowns and all dentists that I have used do the same thing when they have to get it off.

I actually thought an implant screwed onto the base. NO?

You should see about finding a new dentist. It seems he is being to aggresive with your mouth, you may have more problems that just what is at hand, also, if he is not being gentle enough with you, talk to him about it, he wont know what he is doing wrong if you don't speak up. Good luck
