I sit here, alone......... I'm always alone, now that Matt has left me for that horrible hillbilly. Oh, dear God....(7)Please release me from this passion that I feel for him. It is not abating. It's as strong as ever. I've tried everything; I even went to see a fortune teller. She told me that all I needed to do was to drink a potion that she just happened to have....It was called, (4)"Les Bicylettes De Belsize"........A very tart brandy with an after-taste that reminded me of Festus' fried catfish. I was suppose to drink one bottle that night and the other second bottle the next night. I did as I was told and drank the first bottle. It was NOT a (3)Lovely way to spend an evening. I spent hours with my head in a bucket....Each time I mumbled, (1)There goes my everything, I had another urge to vomit. I never did drink the other bottle.

Ugh! Enough about that.

You know......of all the men I've known, he was the best. (8)After the loving he would always cuddle with me; Everyone else would just roll over and play dead, or jump up and run down the back staircase. He was such (5) A man. Kitty lay down her diary and pen and sat by her open window. She welcomed the cool breeze. As she looked out over Front Street, she heard voices.......
Matt:" But Sunshine....Baby.......(6) If..." (Sunshine interrrupted with a kiss) " we only had love ......." (Another series of kisses)
Sugar.....We made love for 2 hours this afternoon. I'm sleepy. Aren't you?"
Sunshine: " Nooooooo. "
Silence.
Kitty strained her ears.
Giggles could be heard.
Kitty yelled down to them......"Listen ,you two lunatics!!! If you would kindly NOT turn the main street of Dodge into your private love nest, I'll give you a gift."
The giggles stopped.
Sunshine yelled to her....." Okay....I'll bite.....What's the catch?"
Kitty:"No catch. Here....I'll toss it to you."
Matt and Sunshine came out of the alley and stood under Kitty's window. Kitty ran to her closet, trying hard to stiffle her laughter.
Kitty:"You ready?! Okay....Here goes."
Matt caught the box that Kitty had thrown.
Sunshine tore open the lid and shreiked in delight....."BOOZE!!!!! Hey! Thanks, Red !!!! That's real nice of you. "
Matt held the bottle and tried to read the label....."What's it called, Kitty? I don't understand the writing."
Kitty :" Les Bicylettes De Belsize. HAVE A PLEASANT EVENING !!
(Under her breath....MUAWWWWWW !!!!!)

Much like the young man in the film (4) “Les Bicyclettes De Belsize,” it only took me one glimpse of her picture to know that being near her would be a (3) a lovely way to spend an evening. I imagined how I would take her to my apartment and (8) after the loving, we would talk. I would tell her how wonderful life would be (6) if we only had love like this all the time.

Of course that is all in my imagination. It is highly unlikely I will ever actually meet her. If we did meet, it would likely end as it did with the last girl I dated. The last thing she ever said to me was (7) “Please release me from my promise to love you forever.” When I called her six months later, she didn’t even remember my name (2) (Am I that easy to forget?)

But (4) a man without love, even unrequited love, is nothing. So, (1) there goes my everything on the arm of another man. I know it would be different if only she knew how happy we could be together. For now, I’ll have to be happy following her around on my bicycle and dreaming of how nice it would be to share a tandem with her.
