DC is an abbreviation for Direct Current

Electrons travel from positive to negative IN CONVENTIONAL THEORY, however, it has since been discovered that electrons actually flow from negative to positive. It depends on what your teacher is teaching. May be best to stick to conventional theory. Check your "previous units".

The flow of electrons in a circuit is called current

Children's toy, cell phone use batteries as a source of eelctricity

An instrument used....is a continuity tester or continuity meter. Usually referred to as a multi-meter because meters have many functions these days. I'd go with continuity tester.
