to a grand jury about knowingly taking steroids. Bonds' career is OVER people. No team will want to touch him now, for the 2008 season, unless it's at a 500 grand contract like Sosa got. And his Hall of Fame chances have GREATLY DIMINISHED. He also might be going to jail. You agree?

I know Bonds desperately wanted to get to 3,000 hits and 2,000 rbi's. He'll get that chance if he's not in jail, but like I said, it will be at a price of 500,000 - 1 million for a 1 year contract.

He used steroids people. His hat size increased like 3 sizes. It is well known that people's heads don't grow past adulthood. Yes, people's faces can get fatter, but not their actual cranium. Steroids makes your head grow. Just check out some of the posters from 2003-2004 of Bonds with his shirt off, no question about it, he was on roids, totally ripped.

Hey, didn't the relief pitcher Rick Vaughn get his start in the California Penal League in the movie Major League?

They say that the feds have a 90% chance of indicting somebody when they go through with it.

In the end, however, he'll get a good plea deal.

As for the HOF, I think a conviction will change a lot of writers perceptions of the man, and he will lose a lot of votes, that's for sure. However, he does have two things going for him:

1. He didn't commit the cardinal sin of baseball--he didn't gamble on the game.
2. He was a sure-fire HOFamer before he even took the roids. The guy was just a ball player. Period.

I think that if he is convicted, people will consider these two things, but down the road. His first-time ballot chances are gone.

I dont agree 100% that his career is over, but 2008 is in jeopardy and unless he plans on pulling a Julio Franco, then his continued playing career is also in jeopardy.

As for HOF chances, I think thats definitely over. Just the fact that these charges were brought against him is good enough for the writers to never vote him in, whether he's guilty or not. My personal feelings are that he deserves to go, but hey, I'm not the one doing the voting.

Also, lets not all forget Gary Sheffield. Shef also claimed that he "unknowingly" took the C&C. If Bonds perjury indictment is steaming from that testimony, then I do believe that Sheffield is next for Federal indictment.

Until I see the evidence, I still think he deserves to make the hall of fame.

He is gone. His career-over. His record should be erased from the history books.
