I assume that you are asking what factors of production used in running a university.
Well:
1) Land - the land on which the uni. is built and the building themselves.
2) Labour - teaching staff etc used in running classes etc
3) Capital - the chalk, books in the library, computers, photocopiers etc used in teaching and learning.
4) Enterprise - provides by those who set up the uni's to either help the country or make a profit.
Land and labour are the top two.

It depends what you mean exactly. Universities build a base of highly skilled workers which help meet the demand for skilled workers. They are usually involved in research which often benefits the economy and they bring in money from overseas full fee paying students. This overall reduces inflationary pressures by supplying the labor market with workers and though income from research and overseas students
