What??

Many that are right are not happy, and many that are happy are not right. Right? Is this what you mean?

Thing is, those who are happy are not willing to be right instead of happy, but those who are right are willing to be happy instead of right. So I think most would rather be happy than right.

Wrong will never give happiness at the end, so I prefer to be right, THEN I'll work on my happiness, if in order to be happy I have to do wrong, then it's not real (or there's a serious problem with me)

Unfortunately, like most other people, i want to be right. Certainty is often seen as more important than happiness. Given the chance to go permanently to sleep and have a life long dream where you achieved your heart's desire and had no memory or awareness that it wasn't real, most people wouldn't take it, because they'd rather be right than happy.

Happiness is the right to be wrong.

I want to be both and I can be both. I just have to remember that the only real freedom we have is the freedom to chose how we feel.

Being both usually doesn't come to fruition however until after we've apologized for being right.

In retrospect, I think the key is to be right with a whole lot a class--not smug or aloof or arrogant. You also have to trust that the other person will one day come to their senses. It also doesn't hurt to tell them you love them anyway despite the fact that you disagree.

What if being right MAKES me happy? You speak as tho the two were mutually exclusive options. I want to be right AND happy, and since being right MAKES me happy,...You see the inherant inseparability.

I'd rather be happy than be right. Happiness is a very important factor of life and without it, misery can overcome you.
