i live in a freshmen dorm. i love the room i'm in - first floor and i have good friends on my floor. however, i can't stand my roommate. we don't fight, but we don't get along either. how do i go about and force her to want to switch rooms. she's hates it here by the way and she's leaving after the year. but i don't think i could stand living with her for another six months. i've dropped hints about her living in a single, but its not really possible. and i know if i talk to the RA, i'm the one that's gonna have to move out.

Well it sounds like it's bothering YOU, so you should be the one to move out.
Unless you talk to ur roomie and you get her to move out by telling her why you don't want to move out etc.

live and learn. you probably cannot get her to go. spend a lot of time in the library or in other rooms. if you were really miserable, i think you'd be willing to move out. i don't think you're really very desperate.

Just wait the 6 months then you'll be rid of her
