when found under the "Docket Entries" section. If more than one appeal from the lower court is being processed at the same time, same appellant, same charges, same notice of appeal filing date, why would the party that did the "docket statement exited" be different? (some as appellant name, some another persons name, some by Western District Filing Office) Does this "EXITED" mean that the request for the Superior Courts to hear the case has been thrown out, not heard, or something else? thanks for any help

I had never heard the phrase used this way. According to Black's Law Dictionary, "exit" means "it goes forth" in Latin. This word is used in docket entries as a brief mention of the issue of process. The "exit" of a document is the fact of its issuance. It appears to me that it means a docketing statement has been issued by its own by the Supreme Court. When search on line, I only found this in Pa. cases. The case I read involved an inmate who accused his attorney of incompetence. The Supreme Court issued a docketing statement regarding the attorney and referred it to the Disciplinary Board after giving the inmate a new attorney. This is only what I THINK it means. I've been an attorney for more than 25 years and have never heard the phrase used in this manner. The question interested me and this is what I could find.
