I am 5'3". I do not need to gain any sort of stature or feel better about the fact that I am shorter than most men I know. I wear them because they look good with the clothes that I am wearing at the time.

I have to tell ya.. I have seen some fairly short men. In fact, my son is only 12, and he's taller than some men I've seen LOL. My son is 5'7". (Yes, I have a very tall husband - that's where he gets it from.)

I bet there are quite a few men that would welcome the opportunity to wear high heels to gain stature, but women aren't concerned with height the way men are.

Note to Christian Heavy Metal Bassist: wearing high heels will not destroy your back. What destroys your back is not knowing how to walk in them. I wear them just like someone would wear a tennis shoe. They offer just as much comfort for me because I am used to them. If anything could have destroyed my back, it would be having the two children I have now. My back is in good working order.

I wear heels to even out the proportions of my appearance. I am not a short person, but most of my body height is above my waist. Having that extra 2 to 3 inches added really makes a difference. All the other plus effects of wearing high heels are gratifying and greatly appreciated. They have become an important part of my total look, however, I hope they are only part of the enticement to begin a budding relationship. Isn't the real reason we work so hard to be attractive is to be able to meet the best people, with the hopes of at least one of them becoming our soul mate?

For me, personally, it is a height thing (I'm only 5'4") and also it is a confidence booster. It boost confidence because women know they look good in heels and it makes them feel like they are being noticed. There is nothing sexier than hearing the click-clack of high heels on a hard surface. It helps if you have a strut too! ;)

Yes, many women do wear high heels because they'd like to appear taller or longer-legged. As long as they take good care of their feet, what's the big deal?

High heels make your legs more shapely by giving the appearance of slimmer ankles. They also cause your torso to re-position giving a better look to your booty and making your upper body move forward just slightly, but still enough to attract attention.

Put on a pair of jeans with some sneakers, and you feel completely asexual. But put on a pair of jeans with a pair of high heeled sandals....and suddenly, you are the sexiest woman alive.

You guys benefit from that sexy feeling alot of the time - so why criticize and make fun of it??? Just shooting yourselves in the foot, I'm thinking...

makes legs look good good legs look better-causes your butt to stick out and your hips to sway. And no female wearing heels can run far or fast so theres an underlying dominance/submissive thing as well.......the height thing isn't an issue other wise you'd have something a lot more stable in design.

I personally wear them because I think they look sexy. And, many of the jeans and pants that I wear are made longer these days so I have to wear them. It's really no big deal though...I enjoy wearing them. If women don't like them or feel like they are a hindrance, then they don't have to wear them.

It's just their thing.. It accents their calves and makes them a little taller.. I don't believe them wearing high heels is a reaction to men at all. I think they're hot.. Enjoy them
