My husband likes PC games such as battlefield, guild wars, age of empires and SM Civilization. I really would like to get him a PC game for christmas since that is his favorite "hobby" can anyone reccommend games that are similar that he might really enjoy?

Try out Everquest II and Vanguard if he enjoys online MMPORGS.

Personally, I prefer BF2 over BF2142. If he doesn't have a top end graphics card, it's not a bad idea to invest in a new one for him. Make his games come to life and run with no lag.

As for games, well...Call of Duty 4 came out recently, and it is really addicting. Crysis has amazing graphics and gameplay, but if your computer is short of top notch, you'll have trouble running it well. Think Quad-Core, two 8800GTX's running SLI and 4 GB's of RAM kind of computer. Otherwise, a fairly moderate to entry level will run it with some graphics lagging and not as sharp, but still playable. BioShocks been out for a while, but it was fun. It's more on the fantasy side though.

"Company of Heroes" has been out for a while, but has gotten great reviews. It now running about $30.

"Battlefield 2142" is the latest version of "Battlefield". This would be great if he does not already have it.

It would not hurt to visit the local game store to see what else is popular/hot right now.
