Chronon: Fear of a Blank Planet and Deadwing are both pretty heavy, the beginner ones are probably Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun, they're both much easier to listen to but of the two, I would say I enjoyed Deadwing much more.

I started snooping around in this category just a few weeks ago.
I've picked up some good stuff on tips from Darth, Chunga & some other great users here.
But, I gotta tell ya, in all honesty, I'd never heard of MCR before coming here.
Sometimes....it's good to be livin under rocks.

I've discovered bands that i'd heard of before but never really listened to, Porcupine Tree being one, and Supergrass, The Shins, Budgie, amongst others. I fell in love with "Late in the day" by Supergrass after you recommended it last week, and i havent stopped listening to it since. So thank you for that

Porcupine Tree is the only one that comes to mind.
If you're reading the answers, which album should I get, Deadwing or Fear of a Blank Planet? The only songs I've heard are Piano Lessons, Lazarus, and Fear of a Blank Planet, and I love all three.
To the person above me that said Arcade Fire... I have a sneaking suspicion that that was me...
EDIT: Thanks. :) I want to get one of these because usually to get into bands I buy their most recent and famous albums. Also iTunes doesn't have either of those albums and I can't be bothered to get my mom to take me to the music store, because she never takes me anywhere.

Oh wow, this was awhile back...like a year or so.
I heard some people talking about Bring Me The Horizon along with some of my favorites. So I checked them out, and now they're one of my top 5 bands.
