concerning the death of legendary Hawaiian singer Don Ho and if his last name might be considered offensive.

Now, I hear that in Australia, would-be Santa Clauses are being told not to use the merry words, "ho, ho, ho" because it might offend women.

Amazing how easy it is to predict this kind of behavior in advance. The thing that has always amused me with the politically correct crowd is this. They are all for limiting what you say, but whatever they want to say is protected free speech and you had better respect their rights.

Well let's try to be logical There's a course for Santas being held somewhere in Australia, and they've instructed 30 Santas trainees not to say "ho". We're really taking about a big American "politically correct crowd" here aren't we!
The answer is no, and I fail to see the prophesies, but I think I do get the joke.. (lol)

That is so upsetting!
Now I have to chop weeds in my garden with my "Garden Tool" formerly known as a Hoe.
I don't dare tell my neighbor across the back fence that I am hoeing my Pumpkin patch!
And I suppose the construction worker across the street will only be able to use his "back shovel", so as not to offend anyone with the use of a backhoe.
The world has truly gone a** over applecart.

They have gone off the deep end. What a bunch of busy-bodies! Mind your own business. We shouldn't be persecuted for using words like Natzi, biatch, niggor, ho, and now they are trying to ban Christmas. They have taken off popular programs like Don Imus and The Dog.
So what if the Dog uses the N word in private. He's not doing it on his show, so lay off him! These PC liberals have too much time on their hands. Stop stifling freedom of speech.
Definition of Political Correctness.
"... Political Correctness remains just what it was intended to be: a sophisticated and dangerous form of censorship and oppression, imposed upon the citizenry with the ultimate goal of manipulating, brainwashing and destroying our society." – www.NewsMax.com

Probably, and I am an immoral goddless sex pig if their ever was one!
"Ho" does have dirty connotations, thats why I chuckle gleefully when I hear it!
RuPaul had a Xmas album called "Ho Ho Ho".
It was cflever and no-one cared, as it should be.

Yes. Why should an age old legend like Saint Nick have to change his laugh because of a derogatory street slang term? That is absurd.

Maybe in Australia..... However that has nothing to do with your original question in which you somehow tried to compare a singers last name to Don Imus calling young black females ho's..... Not much of a comparison.
