Another Super Bowl trophy is the prize. Being undefeated would be nice, but the champagne will just as sweet after a Super Bowl win even if they lose a game or two in the regular season.

I'm sure alot of them are hoping it will happen but it really doesn't matter to most of us. The fact that they were the last team standing against Dallas & Indy was really good enough. They have all but clicnched a playoff spot already and the season is only half done. It seem to me that it means more to EVERYONE ELSE that they don't go undefeated then it does to us that they would. All we care about is that they get to the playoffs and make a run at the SUPER BOWL and so far that looks like a safe bet. So far...
In New England we hope for the best but expect the worst. thankfully the RED SOX turned it around and so did the PATS & CELTICS!

Honestly, it would be a great feat if they do make it...but it's just not worth it...I mean 19-0 would be great but if Tom Brady gets injured in that last regular season game, it's over...and the Pats know that so they will probably not risk it...But if they do go ahead and go 19-0 then the Barry Bonds question will come up. Everybody else will not accept the Patriot's perfect season, demanding an asterisk beside the record...so, it would be better if for them to just lose a few regular season games and become champions...

The Patriots fans are going to be disappointed since the Patriots aren't going to be undefeated.

MPetti1, you said you won't be disappointed because it's about the rings. Pats have 3 which is good, but Steelers, 49er's & Cowboys have 5. I can't stand the Cowboys though, but they are a good team though. Steelers go for #6 this year.

They might, depending on which game they lose. If they lose to Buffalo this week, it will be "Oh well, we gave it a run, now lets regroup and win the Super Bowl"... If they lose to the Giants in their last game, I can see some over-reaction happening....

They don't have their hearts set on on it. They are cocky enough to say they will go undefeated.

I dont see a reason for them to overreact unless they are THAT over confident in their team..

Yes. And then they will overreact again when the Pats lose their first playoff game.
