Rules to be a socialist by. The society has had some good results from this side of things, But it seems to cost a bundle. I was just thinking, and this is not meant to make you upset ,but how much does a war cost? The problem with liberals is they want to make a bureaucracy out of every study for social reform. Why don't they just pass out money and spread the wealth.

That would probably vary from one liberal to another. Some might put egalitarianism first, and say that the point is achieving equality for all or 'social justice.' Others might say that the point is to question tradition & authority to weed out bad traditions and oppressive authorities. Other might say that the point is to make social progress. Some might admit that the point is change for it's own sake, regardless of the consequences.

To Greg whose answer is just above:
Greg! Liberals support the Constitution? That has got to be one of the biggest piles of _________ ever!!!!!
It is liberals who over and over say that the Constitution should be "a living document" and that it is okay for us to interpret it to say anything we wish it to say.
I hope you will think about the following.
If the Constitution can be interpreted to say one thing today, and something different tomorrow, and something still different next week, and something still different next month, what good is it? Why bother even having a Constitution if it can't be counted on to remain constant and unchanging.
The US Constitution is that which protects us as individuals from the excesses of government and is what guarantees our rights.
Don't forget now, it is liberals who say the Constitution can say anything we wish it to say.

what an extremely bias question, I bet you are redder than Clifford the big red dog. OK well, liberals support the Constitution, ever heard of it. They also think that the people should be in charge of their own lives and have as little government interference in it as possible. And how can you follow your rights to pursue happiness if the government is interfering in your life! You are so damn incompetent!!!! look at both sides of an argument before you say something stupid like that! ok

In college they teach you how to think critically and a little bit of spelling too....and that is where a lot of liberals are created if their parents didn't tell them the truth

I'm not liberal. It's the belief that (1) there will always be a large segment of the population that can't take care of themselves. (2) There will always be a small segment that will have ample success. (3) If there isn't some sort of system set up to take care of the less fortunate, everyone will suffer in the long run.
Makes a lot of sense. Like everything else there are flaws.

It gives us conservatives a point of reference so that we'll know beyond the shadow of a doubt that we are right in our beliefs. LOL!!
