especially when something nice happens, does it bring a tear to your eye or a lump in your throat?

YES! I've always been kind of an emotional person (I tend to cry pretty easily), but now whenever someone's nice, it totally throws me off and makes me choke up a little...

How sad is is that it's so rare people do a nice gesture that it brings a lump to our throat? I mean, seriously.

yes! i thought it was just me. as we get older we've seen so much and actually develop an appreciation for the smallest of things. not as many hang ups and its easy to just let go. tearing up now :)

yea i'm finding that too, because we're getting genes we never knew we had. plus, as we get older, we think about people and their feelings more than we used too. as you mature, you find out what really matters and conflicts hit you harder than it normally would.
