your comp is cool enough..boostin ur ram would help tho'..the fing most people seem to miss here is the relative safety of macs when u consider ad/malware...vista sux!!!! go XP till all the driver-issues are sorted over the next 18 months or so(and the integral ad/mal etc softw' is omg rubbish - worse than norton even!!! go XP with kaspersky and ur machine should run smooth - go for the 64 bit version if you can afford it)

I Pray your running vista basic... If your running anything higher on that you'll have issuses.

But i will never fully say switch to mac for every day usage, i defaintly recommend if your going to use it as a graphic design artist.

But even still i expect you would have a pc as your main system.

Your specs O.K. I hate to see vista ran on just 1 gb that just isn't enough ram and your processors not horibale it's a dual core amd which if it comes down to it you could over clock it. i recomend you have ateast 1.8 ghz amd dual core.

The best system you want for vista

4 GB
2.4 amd dual core processor & up
256mb ddr3 video card or up

if your used to a pc, do not change to a mac, because some software may not work. But nice system though, (except for the OS) good luck.

Changing to a Mac is a downgrade in my opinion (even if you only had a 5 year old PC)
