I'll start by saying that i am not a yankees fan, but i defeinitely think if they have the chance to resign ARod (which it sure looks like they do) they should. Money is the issue with A Rod... and most teams can't afford him. The Yankees can! I do not understand how a team that can afford a player with output like A Rod would turn him away.
In my opinion, all of the "experts" talking about how ARod is a "loser" and "isn't the kind of player who can win a championship" are retarded... haha. If my team could afford ARod i would want them to sign him more than anyone. He is one of the best players in the game and there is no way that you can hit 50 home runs and drive in 140 every year and be a bad addition to a lineup. There is no way that ARod was the reason the yanks have not won the world series recently.

In short, the yankees would be crazy not to take him back!!

I'm glad he came back. Broke my heart when he opted out. I got scared it would be the end. A-Rod is too good of a player not to have. He had a gangster season this year and even his off years were good. Stupid Yankees fans start riding him when he's carrying them ALL year, but when he messes up and does not have a monster year like 2007 they're all booing. A bunch of fakes. I'm a Yankee fan by the way and I like A-Rod.

Yes,
The Yankees should definately bring him back. He provided over 30% of the offense for the season. He can get the Yankees to the playoffs, he just needs to perform once he is there.

agree with #1 Yankees Fan all the way and also it wasn't his choice to opt out it was his agent that wanted more money... it really wasn't A-Rod's fault. A-Rod made the decision to come back I'm not sure if he fired his Agent.

I had a feeling he was going to come back. =)

well the guy did nothing important, right?

He TOOK us to the PLAYOFFS!

Sure he hasn't performed in the playoffs for the Yankees, but this can always change.

I agree completely with the two previous posters. Having baseball's best player on your team is always a plus and, if the pitching comes around, the team will dominate.

Yes.

Ya know why?

(A. He will repay the Yankees with 300,000,000 by him selling his merchandise, he is bound to sell more then 300,000,000 worth of merchandise in 10 years.

(B. His stats, MVP written all over it.

(C. We have no other choice at 3rd base. With him the Yankees will be unstoppable. Their pitching staff will be EXCELLENT with all of their young pitchers.
