I have an acer laptop with an integrated microphone. I wanted to record speech for a project and the recordings have no sound. I have already checked my volume and even tried speaking louder. I don't know what to do

Read the Acer User Manual. Then hit the right "key combination" to turn your MIC on.

Then, open Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > Sound Recorder to test it out.

You must use an audio recorder / editing program for it to work. Try the free Audacity if you need to record more than 60 seconds of audio. Google for it.

Hey its easy... just click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Sound Recorder.

Now try to record. Make sure that your microphone is ON.
