Why they don't put lie-detector test on criminals?

Well i watch the Maury show lol and i have always seen them doing lie detector test on people if they are cheating well why they dont put it on criminals instead on investigating every thing?? well im just curious this question just came out from my head well PLEASE AND THANK-YOU. NO HARSH ANSWERS PLEASE!!!

A lie detector is not 100% foolproof. They can give false negatives and they can give false positives.

Actually a such thing as a lie detector test dosent exist.So right off a lie dectector is a lemon statement, like selling you a used care that is known unreliable. Its called a lemon.

A stress detector test exist that dictates how nervous you are and tries to read your stress.However this detector cannot tell where the stress came from.

Also plenty of prosecutors have been found to tamper or fabricate evidence, and the last thing you want is a stress detector that cannot prove where the stress came from , as a prosecutor.

Thats actually a good question..I think they should do that, i dont see why not. It would sure help out even if the lie dectors gave out false positives and false negatives..The criminals wont tell them the truth anyways..
