Some of them, sure. Not to the extent that I'm sure you're getting at.
Hey man, I know there is a problem. I love President Bush's solution too. Don't get Osama Bin Laden, invade a country that has no proven link to 9/11 and make a whole region of people incredibly mad at us thus needlessly creating many more terrorists, oh yeah, and it was really nice how we circumvented the U.N. and were proven wrong in our assumptions that led us to war against their wishes. That did WONDERS for our global reputation.
So to review, a major part of the Bush plan to stop terrorism appears to be villifying the United States in the global community. You're right, the country is just not safe in the hands of a liberal president.

Yes, the thing they do not understand, however is that the terrorists do not give a hoot about understanding us.
They want us dead - something the left does not appear to grasp.
The left desires the reduction of the US to a 3 world country status plus a decreased military. this way they can have more control over the population vis a vie decreased freedoms.

Understand them? How in the world do you begin to understand people who would wrap themselves in explosives and blow themselves up, in order to kill and maim men, women, and children who do not know them, and are probably more like than unlike them, in their personal, quiet, and non intrusive personal lives? How do you understand people who swear and declare that a huge part of human history, the Holocaust, is a myth? How can you understand a brain like that, and how do you begin to reason with it? Could we "get along" with them? Good God, no! What reasonable, thinking person could get along with them? It's like the snake that wanted to cross the river but couldn't swim, but would starve if it stayed on the shore. A tiger told it, "I understand your plight. If you promise not to bite me, I will take you across on my back." The snake promised, but as the tiger swam into the middle of the river, the snake bit him, anyway. As the tiger foundered, dying, he exclaimed to the snake, "Why did you do that? Now, we will both die!" The snake replied, "I couldn't help it. You knew I was a snake when you put me on your back."
You don't have to get bit to know a snake when you see it.

As the officially designated spokesperson for the American left I'm prepared to say we could never understand the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Tim Lahaye.

Yes
They think if we play nice with them, they'll stop being terrorists, put down their IEDs and AK47s and start their own legitimate business that will be a benefit to all mankind.
They think they're kidding when they say "death to the infidels" and that what they really mean is "look at me, I'm reaching out for you to understand me... I'm crying out for attention"

After all, that twit Edwards says the Global War on Terror is just a "bumper sticker slogan"
to them, so is "The American Way"

Yes. And they're right, to an extent. The Terrorists have a status for people who want to 'get along' - it's called 'Dhimmi.'

Likely. I think we should replace the Donkey with a Toolshed...as it seems appropriate. There were Libs protesting in the streets of Palestine about the Israel 'occupation' standing side-by-side with known terrorists...Libs from US Universities. Well, needless to say, a firefight broke out and some of them died. The families tried to blame the Israelis...except autopsies on the kids proved they were shot by .30 caliber rounds, and the Israelis were using .224 caliber rounds. The terrorists shot them in the back (likely to incite the bed-wetting libs against Israel).
Moral of the story kiddies....don't be a liberal..they're real stupid.
