Do you know any step-siblings who married? I was acquainted with one couple (much older) who are step-siblings who are married. Each was married previously to another person for at least 10 years and has children from their first marriage (they don't have children together). I don't know them well, but they seem pretty happy together. Any stories?

PS #2: No, I don't have any step-siblings.

some old neighbors of mine had preteen children (the children were step - not blood related) who grew up (18) and had a child together. once the state of va. found out they took the child out of the home.
in va. it is against the law for any stepchildren to marry. they didn't marry. they do live together and they still don't have their child back. it's been over 5 years - closer to 10.

i have no idea where i stand on what's 'right'.

I don't really see where is the problem with love between stepchildren....
Why they shouldn't be happy only because their parents married....
steps are like strangers. No blood relations. So why no?
Okay, maybe if they grew together since theirs birthday (or almost, I'm talking of maybe the first teen year of life, maybe even less) it would be strange but why if my mom marry someone that have a child and I find that that boy is my one and only I can't marry him? Only cause mommy is happy I can't?
There are so much problem in a lot of families, why making new ones?
I read of that couple of stepchildren that had a child and the state took him away... Seriously?! There are lot of child that are abused or not loved in the world, why they would take away a child from itshis family because their parents are stepchildren? It's not their fault if they met because their parents married and it's not their fault that they fell in love....
It's a very strange world, let me tell you.

I don't know any, but I don't see a problem with it. Step sibs aren't related. It makes some sense. The parents are obviously attracted to each other, the children are products of the genetics and environment - why not.

They sure made a big joke about it with Greg and Marsha in the spoofy Brady Bunch movie that was made a few years ago.

Its the two incorrect scientifically as properly as socially. Siblings tend to be the vendors for the comparable genetic subject concerns and in the event that they procreate, their little ones have a lots larger threat of genetic issues, psychological issues, etc. Socially, there are issues on the subject count of the reality that the a common attachment to a sibling shouldn't effect in romantic thoughts or interest. the dating dynamic between siblings and that of an intimate couple are in accordance with very diverse roots. examine have shown that even siblings who weren't raised at the same time instruct disgust on the assumption of harboring romantic interest of their sibling. i think of its only hardwired in our chemistry to stumble on it appalling as a subconscious way of understanding that genetically we'd mess a baby up!

I think it depends. If they grew up together from a young age then to me that would be a little gross. But if they didn't become siblings tell middle or high school then thats fine. Its not like they are really blood related. People have a right to be happy.

step-siblings are the same as strangers when it comes to marriage...... mom's kids had a different father.... dad's kids had a different mother.... they're in no way related.... and the fact that they know each other quite well, if they happened to have lived together as siblings for a time, means they might just have the perfect relationship... brotherly love, friendship and love-love all together......
