Are organic foods good? Vitamins? Help?

Eating a lot of fruits and veggies is the first line of defense for a healthy immune system. Organic is great, but the key is that it be as unmessed around with as possible, i.e., fresh produce, preferably from a farmers' market. As much as possible eliminate the junk food.

A good green-source nutrition supplement is never a bad idea either. I have used Juice Plus and Nanogreens and recommend them highly, but there are plenty of other good products out there as well.

Next you want to get plenty of sleep and control your stress levels. Meditation is great for the latter issue. Increasing numbers of studies are showing the benefits of 7-8 hours of good quality sleep on immunity.

There are other supplements that are specifically recommended for enhancing immunity. Ecchinacea is just one of them. You can talk to a qualified person in a health food store to explore those alternatives based on your unique needs. But if you get on top of these other suggestions, you'll be well on your way.

Sleep more. This is an often-overlooked key to better health.

I've read that supplementing with whey protein can have positive immune effects.

Also, there is a ton of anictodal evidence suggesting Vitamin C helps, but nobody can prove it.

Making sure to get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. Keeping stress under control. Eating a good healthy diet...getting proper amounts of fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains etc.

Along with above mentioned you can also make sure to take a high potency good quality vitamin. Plenty of vitamin c is crucial as well specifically if you are a smoker. Colostrum and echinacea are also good supplements.

A multivitamin every day plus some extra vitamin C. 500 mg of vitamin C a day would be a suitable amount.

There are quite a few natural products that help to support the immune system. There's Colostrum, mushrooms (Reishi, Maitake, and Shiitake), Elderberry, Echinacea (which should not be taken long-term), Inositol Hexaphosphate (IP-6), CoQ10, any basic antioxidants, and many other things that are less powerful, but still give some impact.
