A team challenging unsuccessfully loses a timeout. If they have no timeouts left what happens if they challenge a call - they have no timeouts to lose ? Do they incur a penalty ?

No, they can't challenge a call. They have to have at least one time out to challenge.

They were talking about not allowing time outs when a team lines up for a field goal and is ready to snap the ball...for next season though. I just heard something about it but not all the details so I don't know how they will handle it. I would say if the timeout isn't called in enough time to stop the snap then the play goes on. Last night for example, they blew the whistle like a split second before the snap. If that was the case the play should be allowed. They would have to call it like 2 seconds earlier so that the whistles could be blown well before the snap, not right as it was happening.

They incur a delay of game penalty if they challenge without a timeout. The smart coaches put the flag away when they are out of timeouts, or have used their one challenge per half, or when the 2 minute warning sounds, since they can't challenge after that.

No. You need a timeout to challenge a call. Also even with a timeout you challenge with two minutes left in the game. Plays arent reviwable I think also.

No they can not challange a call. They will not get a penalty unless it somehow delays the game, in which case they'd get a delay of game penalty. Now, the booth can challange a play if it is less than two minutes left in a half. But without timeouts, a team can NOT challange.

A team with no timeout cannot challenge a call, if they do it's unsportmanlike conduct. I think it's a 15 yard penalty or the league can fine the team.

No. that's the price; you have to have a timeout available. They'll get flagged for delay of game if they throw the beanbag.

nope, must have a time out. This is why the last timeout is so valuable
